Drawings: Bright on Black

posted on: 4.24.2014

I have always been more of a painter, but recently I've revisited drawing, specifically with colored pencils. In high school I went through a phase with this medium on black board, and here I am again. The colors just better pop and I tend to feel more fulfilled in the end when my work has a stronger sense of contrast. Although these drawings are more or less glorified doodles, I greatly enjoyed depicting these two beauties: Sandra, one of my favorite bloggers, and Kenzie, a dear friend who has always supported my artistic dreams.

Please send me your thoughts on this aesthetic style, I'm always looking for feedback, and heck...maybe a new subject?
