winter is coming...

I know some of you will appreciate my post title... I had to go there. Anyway, now that fall has officially passed us it seems the most appropriate way to welcome the new season is by adding to my bucket list series. But before we delve further into my big hopes and wants I would like to give a shout out to my Moore family. Thanksgiving this year was mellow, but so perfect. Lots of eating and sleeping as you can tell. How cute is Bubby during some shut eye?! FYI that's my brother (Jesse) not the pug haha. Little Noah is obviously the most precious. Those not featured for lack of photos would include my cousin Brendan (we call him Boots), my other puppy, Polly, and my Erik (aka Bear). I love all of these people and cannot wait to see them and a few more of my favorites this Christmas!

As for the bucket lists, shall we start with a fall re-cap? Lovely.

Bucket list for autumn:
-go to a "pick your own" pumpkin patch: Check. Fail.
-add a new miniature to my slowly growing Halloween Town (can you say nerd alert?): Done! Erik still thinks I am crazy for it.
-try homemade mulled wine: No, not sure why. But this can for sure roll over to winter.
-order seasonal drinks from each coffee shop I visit: Just about. I LOVE the eggnog latté.
-bake pumpkin pie, again: Yep, last year's was better however.
-figure out an awesome couples costume (we were major failures last year): And this year not so great either... I mean witches, really?
-get a super dark colored mani-pedi: Duh, and doing it again!
-treat myself to some new boots, it is about time: YES
-sign-up for another 10K: ...
-read Gone Girl everyone is talking about it: Started it! I like it so far.
-watch Hocus Pocus, Halloween Town, Coraline, and The Nightmare Before Christmas: Yes on all but Halloween Town. I couldn't convince Erik that it was worth an OnDemand purchase. He's probably right.
-open that freaking Etsy shop!: I have not, but... I will!

Winter, here we go:
-take at least one yoga class each week, I can sense my flexibitly dwindling
-revisit this whole 10K bit, and maybe even add in a half! Maybe
-get a PUG
-begin my drawing a day project, I'll reveal more soon
-like I said before, open that shop
-embark on our wannabe annual Morro Bay excursion (Pleaseeeee, Erik)
-watch all of the Oscar nominees before the Oscars
-sell a painting, maybe 2 :)
-enjoy a rainy day in bed, with tea, and movies, and perhaps Bon Iver
-go to Disneyland! I am a firm believer that the best time to visit is during the winter
-spend NYE with friends and wear sequins...I'll take any excuse to be physically sparkling
-create an herb garden, although I am not a fan of bugs, or dirt for that matter

  1. Totally loved your Game of Thrones reference:) I loved the book Gone Girl, couldn't put it down! And I can't resist ordering a seasonal latte so that would be a fun goal to have!

  4. Beautiful photos! And I got so excited about your winter list when I saw "get a pug"! I so hope you do, I know I could use more adorable puppy photos in my life. And pugs are such wonderful pups, Penelope is friends with quite a few at the dog park and we just love them!

    Happy holidays!!!

  9. Great list- I like the idea of short bucket list- so much less pressure! You must make mulled wine, I always use the barefoot contessa recipe, so easy and soooo good! A pug sounds brave, we've tried the whole pet thing to no avail, so I guess we will stick with farm animal:) good luck on the happenings and hope your having an incredible Christmas with family!
