Friday Art Feature

posted on: 1.30.2015

TGIF tout le monde! For the last friday of January I am staying true to my promised tradition and presenting my favorite IDRAWSKIES paintings of the week. The first two are drawings based off of photos from my beloved city of San Diego. The first being a recreation of the bay near my parents house- a true view of my childhood. Lastly I was inspired by an image taken by an Australian photographer, which brings me to today's point. Although I draw a fair amount of the skies I witness, I also love to draw others that perhaps surpass that of Manhattan Beach's cloudless days. So please tag me @idrawskies on Instagram if you see or take a beautiful photo of the sky above! To close, my 26th birthday is around the corner and in celebration of this weird year I am offering 26% off of everything in my shop! But be sure to use the coupon code BDAY26 before Feb 10th! I hope you all have a wonderful Superbowl weekend! I plan to savor some cold beers and drink away my bitterness...Go Chargers!

  24. Love these! I just started getting back into watercolor painting (I used to paint when I was a kid), it's tough to get the hang of mixing the different hues of sunsets, but your paintings are absolutely beautiful!
