Onwards 2015

posted on: 1.08.2015

Well we have have survived 2015 for an entire week and I have sort of followed my mentally noted resolutions. The fact that "sort of" exists in that statement irritates me greatly. I am sure many of you are sick of the resolution discussion and/or reading others across the blogosphere, but I have decided mine need to be documented. I am a lists person and without stating my wanted changes in written form I am unlikely to complete them. So apologies if you find this post slightly boring, at the very least you can skip the text and admire how cute/terrified my pug looks in the photo above. But maybe, just maybe, you'll find inspiration in this post and better yet provide me with some resolution additions in the comment section below.

-Give up meat. What?! You're becoming vegetarian?! Yeah, but I don't even like meat to begin with and this is a way of eating I've always wanted to try. Also, I'm still eating butter.
-Run a half marathon. 'Just Do It' Michaela, seriously.
-Complete a drawing of the sky for everyday of 2015!
-Raise a beach pug. This one is weird...I just want my pug to like the seawater too!
-Be a patient wife.
-Read more, a lot more.
-And now the big one...Make a living as an artist. This may roll over onto other years, but 2015 is hopefully the first of many!

Now onwards crew, share some of yours with me! We got this whole 2015 thing, I just know it.

  1. reading is one on my list as well! AND I understand the beach pug one.. When I used to have a dog all I ever wanted was to her to like the lake (many in Austin) or beach. Unfortunately, I started the venture too late and she was always horrified of both! Best of luck with everything and you look gorgeous in your photos!

I really don't think I have a specific one for myself this year, but just trying to enjoy it. Anyway, I have complete faith that you can make some sort of living with your art, your extremely talented and gutsy, you've got this!

  21. You can do the half-marathon!! Start out slow and accomplish a 10 km - if you've already done that, you're half-way there :)

The Half is my favorite distance - enough to make you feel like "WHOA I DID IT" but not so much that you wreck your body (aka the full) :)
